March 23rd, John and I will have been married 13 years. I try not to brag about this a lot (since he obviously can't be everyone's husband), but he is absolutely the best one around. He is constantly thinking of me and is supportive of my every endeavor. He is . . . He is . . . He is . . . He is lots of things that astound me constantly. One of them is that he is the BEST gift giver. In fact, he takes so much joy in giving gifts that he's even begun a tradition wherein he gives each of us a gift on HIS birthday. I know. Like I said, he's the best.
My apologies for the horrible quality of this photo. It is, of course, a photo of a photo. We were married back before digital photography was commonplace! In fact, the ceremony was recorded on a VHS. ;)
This weekend as I was packaging up some soap, he came in and announced "Happy Anniversary!" and turned the laptop he was holding so that I could see an image of the gift he had in mind!
No. I'm not going to tell you what it is, but here are some clues!
-- Today, he plans to make the 6-hour round trip to go pick it up.
-- Even YOU will benefit from it.
-- It is in keeping with the (modern) traditional gift for the 13th anniversary.
Aren't you excited? I know I am!
